about

location scout
/lōˈkāSHən skout/
1. a
person sent out ahead of a main force so as to gather information and search for someone or something in various places

I have 20+ years experience in television and film production as a location scout & manager. I was born & raised in Brooklyn and know all the nooks and crannies of New York City. Brooklyn is my basecamp but I have worked and scouted in places as far as Kazakhstan and have traveled halfway around the globe (I intend to get all the way around it someday). My recent projects include Apple, Nike, NBC Universal, I Love New York, and NY Lotto among others.

I began my film career same as everyone else, PA'ing on no-budget features and brutal, 24-hour-long music video shoots. I have held a variety of crew positions such as Associate Producer, Writer and Videographer in shows about true-crime & alien abduction for The Discovery Channel and The History Channel and ghost stories on Fox Family; the latter involving an escape from Seguin Island off the coast of Maine, where I learned one of life’s valuable lessons - never film in a haunted lighthouse during a hurricane.

I’m available for feature, episodic, commercial, still shoots and event scouting both in NYC and abroad for the film & television industry.

My interests are in street art, street photography, architecture, signage, Chaos, New Yorkers, the comedic and the absurd, the surreal & the cinematic.
